Datacenter Specialist
Experience level: 7 to 11 years
The Data Center Specialist must have the ability to lead and develop data center strategy and planning engagements. This individual should possess several years experience working in a data center environment coupled with several years of professional service experience in a client facing role.
Requirements:
• Primary expert to construct the specific solution, scope document, risk profile, and corresponding financials.
• During pre-sales engagement, act as the main technical point of contact between customers and Sales Pursuit Team.
• Called into accounts as opportunities are identified and may work with account-assigned Account Manager/Sales Rep to close sale.
• Compose Statement of Work or other documents, to craft detailed and accurate deliverables that specify processes, technology, staffing, and project management involved in proposed services solutions
• As needed, provide a “trusted expert advisor” role as a Subject Matter Expert for technical services, to both internal and external customers, ranging from formal advice to internal and external customer presentations.
• Strong Infrastructure Architecture skills with a focus on data center infrastructure, cross platform infrastructure architecture, storage architecture, resource optimization/virtualization, data center operations management
• Clear understanding of how the above infrastructure pieces fit together.
• Should include team leadership on consulting engagements, development of data center and infrastructure focused strategies, analyses and report generation.
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to manage and maintain client relationships.
• Experienced in working in a consulting matrixed environment.
