Responsibilities:

The Senior Software Engineer position is responsible for design and
implementation of various Platform adapters. This position is looked upon as
an expert for integration of web frameworks and third party systems with the
Platform. This position is the key influencer of the current and future
system architecture and is expected to design highly available enterprise
services as well as grow the existing set with new product features. The
position is capable of taking the ownership of an undefined task and leading
it to successful completion. The capabilities designed and implemented will
be used to manage and deliver energy and performance information from
distributed renewable energy systems for the benefit of the individual and
the world.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of 7 years programming experience 5 of which are Java Enterprise
development

* Proven experience developing SOAP and REST Web Services

* Track record of designing and delivering Enterprise systems

* Demonstrated experience with Java API's: JAXB, JAX-WS, JAX-RS, EJB3, JDBC
as well as JSP, Servlets and AJAX

* Experience in SOA with understanding of Web Services, XML, JSON, RPC and
WSDL

* Familiarity with various development methodologies

* Proven experience with Agile Development

* Working knowledge of SQL and database schema design

* Able to quickly learn and enhance an existing implementation, while
building solutions in unchartered areas

* Problem solver with proven debugging and diagnostic skills

* Proven ability to address complex, multi-faceted challenges with a
positive approach

Special consideration will be given to candidates possessing experience with

* Familiarity with SaaS and PaaS models

* Experience with Tomcat and JBoss containers
