JOB DESCRIPTION:
An excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to join an aggressive and process-centric IT Project Management Office (IT PMO). You will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution and control of projects inline with bank's strategy and goals. You will be required to project manage a range of ongoing software implementations and a broad range of eCommerce, Cash Management, Treasury, Trade requirements, and so on. You will be coordinating between different business units and IT. Good knowledge of vendor management will be an added advantage.
Ideally you will have experience or knowledge of banking and strong project management skills together with a flexible and adaptive approach. You should be able to fit into a small and focused team and be able to conduct business meetings effectively.A project management qualification is a must.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:
Bachelor's Degree or Business Administration required (a combination of education and experience will be considered).Prior leadership experience, in a technology company will be an added advantage.
PMP or Prince 2 certification is a must.
Knowledge in EPM will be an added advantage.
Candidates who managed projects related to Temenos System will be preferred.
5 + years in a Project Management role and 2 yrs experience in a bank handling and coordinating with different business units, such as international transactions or services,corporate and Retail banking, treasury, capital markets, fund administration, and investment banking.
OBJECTIVES:
This role involves:
The success and timely delivery of all phases of the project from project initiation to post implementation.
To create, review and maintain project plans with all relevant parties involved.
To proactively monitor overall project progress, resolving risks and issues and initiating corrective action plans as appropriate.
To act as the central point of liaison and coordination with all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
To collaborate with internal technologists and, where appropriate, external vendors to develop and implement appropriate solutions, ensuring functionality, infrastructure and processes are in place to support the business through implementation, market launch and full lifecycle.
To manage multiple concurrent projects of varying sizes/complexities and external vendor relationships, developing and maintaining project plans/milestones and coordinating project activities while tracking accomplishments and results.
To maintain overall control and accountability for the schedule and the delivery of expected deliverables.
To actively manage scope changes and the impact to the overall plan.
Must have a preventive approach rather than a corrective approach.
Ensure annual goals and action items are completed and propose creative ideas to improve overall efficiencies.
Establish and monitor key project metrics for each project.
Establish methodology to track, synthesize and summarize project information for all current projects.
Create reports to gauge and provide metrics to upper level management
