The Business Insight Analyst analyzes data, results and requirements to provide best practice solutions, recommendations, and data-based root cause explanations to assist the business in addressing issues or capitalizing on opportunities. The Business Insight Analyst serves as the data-driven advisor to an account. He/she is responsible for assisting the account in continuing improving its performance. The Business Insight Analyst will partner with command center data analysts, account management, and clients to thoroughly understand all aspects of account including contractual terms, conditions, drivers, goals and the client business.
The analyst will work regularly with the account management team to solicit insight required and problems that need investigation. Additionally the analyst will proactively generate command center projects based on opportunity hypotheses realized through extensive data analysis – either generated from him/herself or from a command center data analyst. The Business Insight Analyst will leverage BI skills and experience to perform “what if” analyses and statistical modeling. Through these BI analyses, the analyst will generate conclusions, clearly document findings, and hold meetings with respective parties to articulate findings and discuss recommendations.
He/she will also have to drive strategic understanding of complex customer or agent behaviors across the key business area. The analyst will work with other strategic areas and (occasionally) external consultants on major topics, undertaking action oriented research projects and segmentation/profiling to drive radical step-changes across the business/account.
Business Analytics Manager
The Business Analytics Manager both leads and drives the data analysis and business insight team as well as partners with the account(s) leadership and client(s) to solicit and satisfy all analysis and insight requirements. He/she is an experienced leader who possesses not only report generation and data analysis skills but more importantly possesses skills performing modeling and root cause analysis to provide insight to both account teams and clients. Works independently within guidelines, provides analytical support on specific assignments for customers on business applications. Acts as a key project team member, provides guidance, assistance, coordination and follow up on complex problems and ensures resolution. Displays full understanding of current and emerging business trends. Extensive creativity required across areas of expertise.
The manager must be extremely knowledgeable of all data trends on the account and through his/her deep understanding of the client’s business, proactively suggests analysis and insight projects for the account.
The Business Analytics Manager continually drives and pushes his/her team to innovate and discover new value-added data and insight services for the account and client. He/she will leverage his/her business intelligence skills, experience, and professional community to gather new ideas and techniques to deliver value to the account. The manager will work with other strategic areas and (occasionally) external consultants on major topics, undertaking action oriented research projects and segmentation/profiling to drive radical step-changes across the business/account.
