Position: Project Manager-IT Infrastructure (*****US SHIFTS ONLY*****)

Job description
The person should have completed the implementation of two projects through all project phases.
# Work with different geography teams to deliver projects to the customers in Americas region.
# Facilitate/manage solution Maturing phase of the project by working with design/solution team.
# Develop detailed implementation plans using MS Project ( or Account specific tool) to enable delivery of the Technical Solution Document.
# Conduct Project Definition Workshops with all the stakeholders and produce the written report - Project Definition Report.
# Work with various delivery team to ensure that all relevant teams within IBM and alliance teams/sub-contractors are engaged to during implementation.
# Responsible for remote coordination of infrastructure implementation/integration.
# Estimate initial project cost and schedule with the help of project team members of different geography or customers as desired.
# Engage and manage technical resources to deliver the project.
# Acquire budget approval for all project costs - hardware & software cost,resource costs, floor/rack space, licensees etc..
# Create necessary documents with attention to quality and adhere to the account specific process.
# Deliver the projects within scope, schedule and budget by tracking all activities against approved/baselined project management plan.
# Identify and manage cost, schedule or scope changes to the projects.
# Follow Account specific Project change review process and submit Project change requests.
# Agree deliverables/milestones and report project progress to the stakeholders as per the process defined by the account.
# Chair regular Project Review Meetings, customer facing meetings (if required) and provide all documentation and minutes as appropriate.
# Manage risks and issues impacting project deliverables.
# Maintain all required documentation in a central repository (Project Control Book and Team Room).
# Escalate relevant issues and risks in accordance to Project issue and risk management procedure and the account specific Process.
# Manage all changes in accordance to the change management process.
# Acts as primary interface to the customer, other vendors and all IBM and alliance personnel associated with the project
Qualification and skills
- BE/BTech/MTech/Graduate with First class Degree.
- 8 + years of experience in the IT Field
- 3 + Years of Project Management experience
- Infrastructure domain knowledge is essential.
- Willing to work in US shifts.
- Project Management of 2 Projects through various stages.
- Experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Ability to develop and monitor project schedules and timelines to identify and meet critical mile stones
- Ability to deliver the project on the budgeted cost and track the budget
- Ability to create the project documents as necessary to detail.
- Ability to manage remote project management teams through different geographies.
- Proficiency of Project management tools.
- Proficient in Project management tools & processes.
- Good and effective Oral and written Communication skills.
- PMP and ITIL Foundation Certification preferred.
