Skill Set:
* Project Manager Certified preferred
* Minimum of 1 to 2 years experience as a Project Manager specific to Information Technologies
* Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience in project management related to IT projects
* Exceptional customer relations skills to manage high profile customer projects in regards to infrastructure implementation
* Technical background/ knowledge/ expertise as it relates to IT Program Management
* Ability to manage end to end customer requests with the an estimate of as many as 30 to 40 high priority projects constitute one program, attention to details
* Ability to manage sub-project Project Managers assigned to the Program Manager through implementation of a Program
* Supply Chain Management experience would be a plus for this position
* Highly organized with exceptional facilitation skills, and the ability to move from 1 task to another
* Exceptional multi-tasking skills
* Ability to think out of the box
* Ability to envision the large picture and recommend process improvement with an objective to save time and costs for the customer
* Must have exceptional written and oral communications skills
* Proven ability to be a team player
* Require working knowledge regarding Data Center infrastructure in the following areas:
o Server deployment and imaging
o Large scale network engineering
o SAN engineering
o Datacenter infrastructure and operations
Scope of Work:
* Responsible for managing low to medium scope deployment projects with an occasional high, into the Microsoft Data Centers. Deployments include Infrastructure build-outs which include Network, SAN Storage Area Network, Server Deployments and on occasion decommission of infrastructure deployments.
* Responsible for facilitating project meetings, and data collection in support of the project requirements, communicating status to all project stakeholders, and overall project plan to deliver on time and on schedule.
* Primary contact for project escalations to ensure risk analysis is performed and mitigation plan in place as issues are identified.
* Attend the following meeting, and facilitate as required:
o Facilitate Kickoff meetings,
o Data Center workflow meetings,
o Data Center Capacity meetings,
o Deployment Workflow meetings
o Weekly team meetings to share experiences across all projects, with an emphasis on mitigating any risk to project delivery
o Other MSN meetings related to delivery of and quality of the projects
* Adhere to all required documentation in support of project delivery
* Each project will require the following:
o Follow documented processes as outlined for forecasted and non-forecasted project type
o Lead PM to assign PM resource,
o Review project initiation,
o Data Center workflow meetings,
o Schedule project kickoff meeting within 5 work days of receipt of project,
o Facilitate and document status for all project related meetings, including posting meeting minutes and status updates to the Project Folder,
o Document and manage all Action Items associated with each project,
o Provide weekly updates to Project Tracker,
o Request updates to Procurement Tracker,
o Provide weekly status updates to all Stakeholders,
o Maintain updated documentation as required, including project plans, work tickets, project tracking tools and change control,
o Work to resolve blocking issues and escalate as needed to ensure project timelines are met,
o Complete ARB date and/ or Hardware Change Request tickets as needed,
o Complete Rack Reservation as needed,
o Complete Impact Analysis for non-forecasted project type
o Provide timely updates in response to ticket team"s (DSPACMAN) weekly report
